A quick trip to Powell with plans for the summit.
Got to Powell Hut ok and found it empty but with the fire alive.

Above the hut the weather clagged in and visibility dropped to a handful of metres. Got a little colder to, out of the bush.

As the cloud merged with the snow I couldn't see the drop-offs to the east so got a little nervous. The GPS came in handy.

The dog wondered what the hell we were out there for, but never complained.
We made the judgement call to turn around 400m short of the trig and return to Powell Hut.
